Dr. Gerri Sinclair is currently the Principal of the new consulting team, The Gerri Sinclair Group. She is the former Executive Director of the Masters of Digital Media Program at Vancouver’s Centre for Digital Media. 

Previously, she served as Chair of the Telecom Policy Review, advising the federal government on Canada’s future policy and regulatory telecommunications framework. She was also the General Manager of MSN Canada and the Founder and CEO of NCompass Labs, a web content management company acquired by Microsoft. 

A former visiting scientist at IBM Research, she was the first President of the British Columbia Government Premier’s Technology Council. Gerri serves on several government and corporate boards and was recently appointed to the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).

Gerri holds a PhD in Renaissance Drama as well as an Honorary Doctorate in Computing Science from The University of British Columbia.
