Digifest 2014

Digifest is Toronto’s international festival celebrating digital creativity. The upcoming festival will take place May 8 – 10, 2014 at the innovative Corus Quay building on Toronto’s waterfront.

The Human Media Lab at Queens's University is partnering with the organizers of the Digifest digital media celebration May 8th-10th in Toronto for programming and content. If you are in Toronto for CHI 2014, you may want to extend your stay to experience exciting exhibits and keynote presentations by world-famous artists, entrepreneurs and scientists!

The theme for Digifest 2014 is Digital Urbanism and the Future of Cities. For the first time in our history, more than half of the world’s population lives in cities. With a continual growth of 60 million urban residents every year, 70% of the population will live in cities by 2050.

Digifest 2014 programming and events will highlight the digital tools that are facilitating creative solutions, connecting people and networks and inspiring us to imagine more responsive cities that will enable us to live better lives.

At Digifest, you can expect to watch engaging performances, learn from top innovators and be part of a savvy and dynamic audience. From architects to app designers, creators and entrepreneurs take centre stage to share their stories and showcase the digital and technological discoveries that will re-shape some of today’s pressing urban challenges.
