GRAND board director and Side Effects Software chief technology officer Dr. Paul Salvini has been invited to participate in this year’s APEC Summit held November 11 in Yokohama Japan.

 

Dr. Salvini’s presentation, "Big Trees Grow from Small Seeds", will explore the growth of Side Effects Software, Canada's strength in digital media software development and the emerging opportunities available to small and medium sized businesses in APEC countries.

He will be joined by Mr. Nobuyuki Kume, President, Kume Co., Ltd. (Japan), Ms. Mayumi Hachiya, President, Sakaguchi E.H VOC. Corp. (Japan) and Ms. Fujiyo Ishiguro President & CEO, Netyear Group Corporation (Japan) who will share their professional insights on the "Access to Technology for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises" topic.

 

APEC, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, is a forum which facilitates economic cooperation and sustainable prosperity among 21 nations and regions in the Asia-Pacific area. Members account for approximately 40% of the world's population, approximately 54% of world GDP and about 44% of world trade. APEC Economic Leaders' Meetings are held annually.  Yokohma, Japan is the host city for the 2010 conference.
