Posted by GRAND NCE, October 3, 2011

GRAND researcher, Geoffrey Rockwell, University of Alberta, is currently on a Japan Foundation fellowship to study "Japanese Videogame Culture and Augmented Reality Games for Learning" at the prestigious Digital Humanities Center for Japanese Arts and Culture, Ritsumeikan University (Kinugasa Campus) in Kyoto, Japan.

For the next 2 1/2 months, he will study Japanese game culture and collaborate with his Japanese colleagues on developing ARGs using the fAR-Play platform developed with GRAND support.

Dr. Rockwell will blog about his experience in Japan (and on other fascinating topics) at theoreti.ca. Check out his Flickr site for beautiful accompanying photos.
