GRAND's period as a Network of Centre of Excellence will come to an end on June 30, 2015.

While our NCE phase is winding down, GRAND will continue to be a comprehensive digital media research network and knowledge mobilization engine. Our goal will remain unchanged: improving the quality of life of all Canadians and maintaining Canada’s role as a significant player in the global digital economy.

Discussions are underway regarding the future of GRAND as a non-NCE organization. Members of the GRAND community who wish to participate in planning for the future of GRAND are invited to join the Reboot project on the GRAND Forum. Dr. Eugene Fiume and Dr. Paul Salvini are leading this effort. Dr. Kellogg Booth will continue as the Scientific Director of GRAND through June 2015.

If you are interested in being a part of the future of GRAND, log in to the Forum Reboot page and click the “Join” button and you will be added to the project once your request has been approved. This will place you on the [email protected] email list. You must have a current GRAND Forum account to join the project. Only those who opt-in will be included in the email list. You may opt-out of the list at any time. Posting messages to the list will be restricted to members of Reboot. 

While GRAND was unsuccessful in its renewal application, we congratulate the new and renewed NCEs from the latest competition.
