Bill Leeming is an associate professor in the Faculty of Liberal Studies, lecturing in a range of subject areas including the social sciences and science and technology studies. His expertise is in the areas of technology adoption and social science research design. His research of the last decade has focused on innovation in medicine and, most recently, the diffusion of genetic diagnostic technologies in clinical settings in Canada and the UK. This research has been published in a number of refereed journals such as the Canadian Review of Sociology and Anthropology, Studies in History and Philosophy of Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Social History of Medicine, Social Science Information, International Journal of the Sociology of Law, and Health and Canadian Society.
