Biography

Christopher D Shaw is Associate Professor in the School of Interactive Arts & Technology and the Director of Bio/V Group at Simon Fraser University. He has worked in the fields of computer graphics and human-computer interaction since 1986. Prior to SFU, he was a faculty member in the College of Computing and the GVU Center at the Georgia Institute of Technology (2000-2005), and before that a faculty member at the Computer Science Dept at the University of Regina (1996-2000). Research interests include Virtual Environments, 3D Free-form surface design, Two-Handed 3D User Interfaces, Bioinformatics Visualization, Scientific Visualization, Information Visualization, Human-Computer Interaction, and Computer Graphics.
