Biography
Lyn Bartram is an Assistant Professor of Informatics in the School of Interactive Art and Technology at Simon Fraser University. She is a computer scientist with a background in humanities and perceptual psychology. Research interests include human-computer interaction, visualization, interaction design for energy conservation, and computational aesthetics. She has worked since 1991 in both industry and academia on interdisciplinary projects involving complex user interface design, collaboration, and visualization. She currently leads the SFU team developing the computational infrastructure and "human" face of North House, a fully self-sufficient solar house and entry to the US DOE-sponsored 2009 International Solar Decathlon. She is involved in a number of interdisciplinary research projects at SFU.
