Biography

Stephen Brooks is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and founder of the Graphics and Visualization Lab (GVLab) at Dalhousie University. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge in 2004 and M.Sc. from the University of British Columbia in 2000. His research interests lie in the areas of animation, visualization, image processing and non-photorealistic rendering. He has also been involved in several interdisciplinary research projects involving 3D GIS and bioinformatics visualization.
